First Training “Involving youth in inter-ethnic collaboration”


The Institute for Policy Research and Good Governance organized the First Training within the project “Involving Young People and Youth Organizations in Inter-Ethnic Dialogue and Collaboration”, which took place in Struga, Macedonia from 17-19 May, 2013.
The training involved young activists, representatives of various non-governmental organizations, youth groups, associations and other student groups from different ethnic background. The training was comprised of many discussions and debates about cross-cultural issues and group exercises to strengthen cross-cultural awareness and tolerance.
The Project aims to contribute to ethnic cooperation and prevent the outbreak of ethnic conflict by joining and promoting a dialogue between youth organizations and other youth groups from different ethnic backgrounds.
This project is realized in the framework of the “CIVICA Mobilitas” programme, implemented by the Center for institutional development – CIRa and financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), represented by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Macedonia.
